Acadia NP and Bar Harbor, Maine

On October 15th we returned to the USA and headed for Bar Harbor, Maine. We stopped for the night at the Narrows Too RV Resort and left to explore Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor.

Thanks to the government the park is still closed to the public but we were able to drive around the island along the coast road. This is a place where we would like to return to and really get to explore the park and all it’s hiking and biking trails. Continue reading

Revisiting The Appalachian Trail- Baxter State Park, Maine

On September 30th we headed for Maine and the fall colors were at their peak, it was a sea of reds, yellows and orange all day long. We drove to Beaver Brook Campground about 20 miles off the main highway, and way out in the middle of nowhere. They had never seen an RV this big, 45 ft she thought included the tow car. Thank goodness we were the only ones there because in the morning it took some maneuvering to get out past the trees and narrow dirt road. Continue reading
