Christmas (2019) in Costa Rica with the family was a special treat this year. We arrived in Liberia, Costa Rica, on December 22nd, and picked up the rental cars then drove to our beautiful house on the Papagayo Peninsula. There were a total of ten adults and four kids staying together in this 7-bedroom house. The Jackson family(7), Josh and Aminda Parafinik’s family(4), Andrew Roberts and Sunny Trann, and a friend of Josh’s from Phoenix. Kevin’s company, EXP Journeys, was doing a program for a family staying at the Four Seasons Hotel near us. So Kevin and “crew” were working most of the time we were there, while the Moms and kids got to play. Our house was beautiful and spacious, plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy this place. The infinity pool was the biggest hit and we certainly spent plenty of time in it.
One day we went to the beach near us for the morning, and then spent the rest of the time at the Beach Club, where there was more things for us to do. We took Harper and Austin paddle boarding for 2 hours and then swam in the many pools the rest of the time. Josh and Aminda prepared most of the dinners for all of us, and they were super delicious. Christmas Day began with presents for the kids and then it was time for everyone to relax and have fun together. We took a few trips to Walmart to buy groceries, but we mostly stayed on the Papagayo Peninsula. When the program was finished (12/26-12/27), we all enjoyed one final dinner together in the dining room. On December 28th we flew back to San Diego, sad to say farewell to Costa Rica and the fun we had together. Definitely, a wonderful place to vacation and we would love to come again.
