After we left Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island, we headed north to Chemainus to catch the ferry to Salt Spring Island
on the way we stopped at the famous Malahat Skywalk, where we took in the breathtaking views of the inside passage and Gulf Islands from the top. The skywalk is a must-see for anyone traveling through the area, and the views from the top are truly spectacular. We also enjoyed the exhilarating slide to the bottom, which was a fun and exciting way to end our visit to the skywalk. Click on thumbnail to view image

Salt Spring Island
After leaving the skywalk, we caught the ferry to Salt Spring Island, where we staying with Pattys’ sister, Sue. Sue is a resident of the island and it was great to spend some time with her, and help her celebrate her birthday with her friend April at the famous Hastings House , an enchanting property with ocean views and old-world charm where we had a lovely dinner.
After several enjoyable days, we said goodbye to Sue and Salt Spring Island and headed back to Ferndale, Washington to get ready for our trip to Alaska. We were sad to leave our lovely hostess, but excited for the adventure ahead. Click on thumbnail to view image
